Two of the best running backs of the 2010s might go toe-to-toe in an upcoming boxing match, as Adrian Peterson and Le’Veon Bell are in talks to enter the ring this summer.

TMZ Sports reports Peterson and Bell are looking to fight in a boxing match at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on July 30. The outlet notes the undercard is already stacked with other big names, including former NBA player Nick Young and Blueface. Meanwhile, McBroom is set to go up against YouTuber AnEsonGib.

Should the fight transpire, it could be one of the more competitive celebrity boxing matches in recent memory.

Peterson, drafted by the Minnesota Vikings seventh overall in the 2007 NFL Draft, has established his status as the greatest running back of his generation, winning the NFL MVP and NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2012; earning four First-team All-Pro selections (2008, 2009, 2012, 2015) and three second-team selections (2007, 2010, 2013); and leading the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, three and two times, respectively.

Meanwhile, Bell is no slouch, as the former Pittsburgh Steelers legend, who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season, has earned two First-team All-Pro selections and two second-team All-Pro selections.

Together, the pair has rushed for a combined 21,482 yards and 162 touchdowns combined over the course of their careers. Here’s to hoping their potential boxing match lives up to the excellence of their NFL careers.
