On the latest episode of his podcast Inside the Green Room, Philly shooting guard Danny Green offered up a fiery response to Patrick Beverley’s recent comments on Chris Paul

“People target you too, Pat Bev,” Green said as seen in the clip below. “You ain’t playing no fucking defense out there. You ain’t stopping Luka [Dončić]. It’s time and time again I see Luka call your ass ‘little man’ and ‘he’s too fucking small’ and go right at you every chance he got. When you play Luka you’re a cone, too. How would you like that? … Put that out there, I’ll say it twice.”

At the 24:28 minute-mark of the episode, Green suggested that Bev’s comments took “the disrespect … a little far.” He said they were “unfair to Chris,” and noted that Beverley is clearly holding on to a “personal vendetta” against Paul. "I don't mind certain guys critiquing players, but you're a role player, to disrespect a Hall of Famer is too far," he added. "Pat Bev, you're not stopping Luka either. There's not many people on the planet that are stopping Luka."

Green’s is just the latest response to Beverley’s appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, where he compared Paul to a practice cone. “CP can’t guard anybody man. … You know those cones in the summer that you dribble around? What does the cone do? Nothing. He’s a cone,” Beverley said.

Kevin Durant was also among those to address the situation. While he didn’t directly provide his commentary, he shared a tweet that was clearly indirectly aimed at the Timberwolves guard’s words. Durant quoted a Kanye West tweet that simply read, “He running around like he Pac.” After a few Twitter users mentioned Bev in the comments, one person wrote, “Lol role players talking like All-Stars,” to which KD replied, “These guys need to stop.”
