During warm-ups prior to Friday night’s game between the Houston Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans, fans spotted someone on the court who didn’t belong. A man wearing navy sweats, similar to the warm-ups worn by the rest of the Pelicans team, proceeded to do a series of stretches and even managed to get a shot off before security stopped him and escorted him off of the court.

Most fans assumed the man was just a random guy who managed to sneak on the court, but apparently, the fake baller in question is comedian Tony Roberts. The Detroit native was in NOLA for the weekend to perform at Pelicans player DeMarcus Cousins' second annual comedy event Boogie's Comedy Slam.

After video of Roberts on the court attempting to shoot his shot circulated on the web, the comedian confirmed he was trying to fill in for Cousins, who will be out for the rest of the season due to an achilles injury. Judging by the warm-up, though, it looks like Roberts should stick to what he does best: making people laugh.

PelicansVsHouston 👀 Look who got caught, with @redgrantlaughs as my accomplice!! 🤣🤣… https://t.co/wh0eKijjZW
