The NBA released the full 2016-17 game schedule today, with action set to begin Oct. 25. The first night of the year features a TNT doubleheader with the newly-minted highest-paid player in the NBA, LeBron James, beginning his championship defense against Derrick Rose and the new-look Knicks. The West Coast game features Golden State and the San Antonio Spurs squaring off.

The real question everyone is wondering, though: when do Kevin Durant and the Warriors take on Russell Westbrook and Durant's old team, the Oklahoma City Thunder? Here are five must-see games in the new season.

Nov. 3: Oklahoma City at Golden State

When Durant shockingly joined the Warriors earlier this summer, basketball fans instantly inherited what looks like it will be a classic rivalry. There's no question both sides will come into Oracle Arena all juiced up. Russell Westbrook will dance and then he'll dunk and then he'll scream. It will be beautiful.

Nov. 4: New York at Chicago

Derrick Rose, the 2011 MVP who once seemed like the future of the Bulls' organization, makes his return to Chicago. Knee injuries have derailed his once-promising career, but many expect him to find second life in New York. We'll find out soon. He'll get a mixed response from fans in Chi-town.

Nov. 10: Chicago at Miami

Dwyane Wade spent the first 13 years of his career in Miami. He won three NBA championships. He made 12 All-Star teams. He was a beloved figure in South Beach. This offseason, though, some bad blood brewed between him and Pat Riley (the result of a difference of opinion over Wade's monetary value), and suddenly he ended up in his hometown of Chicago. This game will mark his homecoming. Expect a sincere, warm response and a dope tribute.

Dec. 25: Golden State at Cleveland

Ooh, yeah. This is going to be a good one. After setting the regular-season wins record last year, the Warriors were heavy favorites to win the NBA title. Then LeBron, Kyrie Irving, and company stepped in and ruined it all. Stephen Curry threw his mouthguard and hit a fan. America's Sweethearts quickly became The Villains. Now these teams square off once again in a rematch of the past two NBA Finals, but with Kevin Durant added to the mix. Expect one or two technicals.

Feb. 11: Golden State at Oklahoma City

Yep. This matchup gets another slot because it's that good, and because this marks Durant's return to Oklahoma City, where fans have been burning his jerseys and stores have been selling them for 48 cents. Yeah, he probably won't be received well. Chesapeake Energy Arena will be electric. This game, like the four others, will be an absolute must-see.
