The woman, Karen Price, expressed her disappointment in a recent letter to the editor, published in the 'Baltimore Sun.'

A Maryland woman is catching heat this week over an ill-conceived take on Lamar Jackson's Christmas gifts to his teammates.

Like many NFL stars, the Ravens QB decided to splurge this holiday season and cop Rolex watches for Baltimore's offensive linemen. Jackson reportedly presented the pricey gifts on Christmas Eve.

"We're really grateful for that guy," Ravens guard Bradley Bozeman told ESPN. "I had a Bolex, the fake Rolex, that costs you about $30. This is by far the nicest watch I have — by leaps and bounds."

You know @Lj_era8 had to hook the O-line up 🥶

Karen Price wasn't impressed. The random woman criticized Jackson's gifts in a letter to the editor published by the Baltimore Sun. She pointed to Jackson's wealth and said he could've donated that money to a charity rather than spend it on watches for other wealthy athletes. (Jackson's base salary for the 2019 season is reportedly $910,529—a relatively large sum, but not nearly as much one would expect for the probable MVP.)

The letter read in part:

So disappointing that in an age where professional athletes are making an insane amount of money he couldn’t have donated to charities — and done it in the name of his offensive line — then treated his teammates to dinner ... It just flaunts the amount of money they make and don’t know what to do with. Sorry, Lamar, I am not such a big fan now. Karen Price

Ravens fans blasted Price for attempting to shame Jackson over the extravagant gifts, and pointed out that the QB has done his fair share of charitable work over the years. In 2018, he donated $25,000 to the Louisville-based organization Blessings in a Backpack and about $4,000 to Mission Hope for Kids. He's also worked with a number of youth organizations, such as the Baltimore Boys & Girls Club.

Karen Price can go fuck herself.

In the past, Tom Brady got his O-line Audis.

Aaron Rodgers got his O-line $20,000 ATVs.

But Karen Price wants to police what the fuck Lamar Jackson does with HIS money? GTFOH.

Is she familiar with Lamar’s clothing line? Ya know, the one that donates a huge chunk of its proceeds towards protecting endangered wild african dogs? Ya know, the main branding of his clothing line?

This is a hot garbage news piece and I only respect Karen Price less now.

By far one of the worst opinions of 2019 by Karen Price. ‘Lamar Jackson is wrong for buying his OL Rolex watches.’

Hi, there. The piece you're referencing is a letter from a reader, not from a Baltimore Sun newsroom staffer. We welcome all readers to share their thoughts with us in the form of letters and op-eds: https://t.co/LHfSyf6pkY

Some Twitter users called on the Baltimore Sun to fire Price; however, the publication later clarified that the woman was not a staff member, but a reader who submitted a letter for publication.

You can check out some of the reactions to Price's letter below.

Karen Price could have donated her time to a charity instead of writing that letter. Sorry Karen, not a huge fan right now lol

Lol imagine writing an article like this? It’s common practice for the qb to treat his lineman to a year end gift, especially if they make the probowl or won the god damn mvp. Also, what a wild assumption to make that lamar doesn’t donate to charity. Karen price can kick rocks pic.twitter.com/9WjUduFf8B

Karen Price needs to have several seats. You take care of your own first, before taking care of others. These men have kept Lamar safe all year and he’s showing his appreciation. His money, his gifts.

I hate people who try to tell celebrities/athletes how to spend their money. Lamar Jackson shows his appreciation by gifting his O-Line luxury watches and now he’s “misguided.” GTFOH! Lamar HAS donated to charities, he’s as humble as they come, and it’s HIS money, Karen! 😒 pic.twitter.com/4vdIRdHbuB

A message to Karen Price,

The ridiculously opinionated, self-entitled Baltimore Sun reader, who claims Lamar Jackson should've donated to charity instead of gifting his offensive line Rolexes. 😏 #RavensFlock #GowieRants pic.twitter.com/n6LigWJ05X
