Odell Beckham Jr. and Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey were engaged in a heated exchange during their Week 4 contest earlier today, but their scuffle took a scary turn when the Cleveland Browns star wide receiver appeared to be getting choked out by Humphrey right in front of a referee.

Now, we say "appeared to be getting choked out" to be safe and not assume anything, but a closer look at the incident clearly shows that at the very least, Humphrey had his hand over the throat of Beckham Jr.

The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec reports that, prior to their altercation, Humphrey complained to the refs that OBJ had been grabbing him by the neck.

A play or two earlier, Humphrey was screaming at back judge, alleging OBJ grabbed him by the neck.

Just before the incident, it looks like Beckham Jr. threw a punch at Humphrey with his right hand as the two were interlocked during the previous play.

Both players were flagged, and nothing more, but if and when the league reviews this altercation, there may be more punishments handed down. After the game, Browns coach Freddie Kitchens spoke to ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio. “I saw what you saw. He was getting choked on the ground," he said. "They get away with that because it’s Odell. I’m going to be one the phone with Al (Riveron) when I get on the bus.”
