The Rockets have reportedly won the tug-of-war for Russell Westbrook.
On Thursday night, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski announced the Oklahoma City Thunder agreed to send the All-Star to Houston in exchange for Chris Paul and several draft picks. Woknarowski reports Thunder general manager Sam Presti worked with Westbrook and his agent to make the deal happen, as Houston was reportedly Westbrook's preferred destination.
According to sources, Westbrook had his eye on Houston because he wanted to reunite with James Harden, his former Thunder teammate. Insiders say OKC also conducted trade talks with the Miami Heat.
Unsurprisingly, news of the deal drew mixed reactions. You can check out fans' tweets below.
