On Wednesday, Feb. 20, Nike unveiled its new "True to 7" Colin Kaepernick jersey.
Many athletes like LeBron James and Steph Curry were seen wearing the jersey in advance of its release during this year's Super Bowl weekend. The piece is a follow up to their "#ImWithKap" jersey which sold out within hours. A portion of the proceeds from the "#ImWithKap" jersey was donated to charities of Colin's choice. And although there is no official announcement if the same will be done with the money raised from the "True to 7" jersey, Kap did tag The Lower Eastside Girls Club, Peace Players, the Jackie Robinson Foundation, and PowerPlay NYC when he announced the piece.
Even though people love a rare drip, many are hopeful that the next jersey with Kaepernick on it will have an NFL team on the front. This comes after Kap's lawyer alluded to the fact that teams such as the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers could sign the quarterback within the upcoming next weeks.
