Up until just a few weeks ago, it seemed like a safe bet that the Browns were going to select quarterback Sam Darnold out of USC with the first overall pick they were awarded after running the table in the loss column last season. Then, on Thursday morning, reports were coming in that stated the team intended to draft Oklahoma quarterback and 2017 Heisman winner Baker Mayfield. As you can tell from the picture above (or if you watched the damn thing, or saw a report or whatever) that's exactly what they did.
Prior to this sudden-to-the-public change, Cleveland radio host Aaron Goldhammer (which is a solid porn name, by the way) said that he'd "eat poop" if the Browns actually did draft Mayfield. Well, now would be a good time to buy some tic-tacs because, according to Adam Schefter, Goldhammer plans to walk the walk:
