When reports about a "severe hand injury" that Jason Pierre-Paul sustained as a result of an accident involving fireworks first emerged on Sunday, things sounded bad for the Giants defensive end. Then, they sounded slightly better in following days with some reports even indicating that the damage done to JPP's hand was minimal. But according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, JPP's injury may be as bad as originally expected. Schefter obtained medical records which show that JPP had to have his right index finger amputated today:
JPP still hasn't spoken about the injury he sustained, and he's been hesitant to meet with the Giants about it. Stay tuned for more details.
