Like ham? Love ham? Can't live without ham? Then prepare to have your day ruined.

Early Thursday morning, a truck that was hauling 40,000 pounds of ham—delicious ham!—overturned on a ramp near Interstate 85 in Atlanta when the driver of the truck tried to take a turn at a high rate of speed. As a result of the accident, all 40,000 pounds of ham spilled out of the truck and poured all over the interstate. And as if that wasn't bad enough, a bunch of diesel fuel also came pouring out of the truck after the accident, which lead to a dangerous diesel fuel spill.

Fortunately, the driver of the truck was OK.

"I just banged my head against the door when [the truck] flipped over," he said a short time after the crash, "and kind of cut it."

But sadly, we can't say the same for the ham. Most of it ended up on the ground and had to be thrown out after the accident. And now hundreds, maybe even thousands of ham lovers in the South (the truck was headed to Texas at the time of the crash) will be without ham for the holidays! So sad.
