StockX is closing down its authentication center in Portland, a spokesperson from the secondary marketplace confirmed to Complex.

Currently, StockX has several authentication centers throughout the US, including in the states of Michigan, Georgia, New Jersey, and Arizona, along with nine other facilities that are scattered across the globe. StockX’s Portland authentication center was the smallest facility in its network at 10,000 square feet.

“Following a record year in 2022, we continue to evaluate our network efficiency and rebalance trades between our authentication facilities around the world, consolidating where it makes sense,” StockX told Complex. “As a dynamic, global business, we will continuously assess our strategy to deliver a best-in-class experience for buying and selling the world’s most coveted products.”

Despite announcing the closure of its Portland facility, StockX confirmed that its network of facilities is growing overall, as it added 300,000 square feet last year. Additionally, StockX opened its first authentication center in Mexico City, Mexico, in January.
