Adding to a long list of past collaborators, the Estate of the late American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat has recently teamed up with Converse to unveil a capsule centred around four iconic artwork pieces.

Focusing on works such as Kings of Egypt III, Kings of Egypt II, Pez Dispenser, and Untitled (World Famous), the collection features the iconic Chuck Taylor All-Star and Chuck 70, as well as the Skidgrip silhouette, with each sneaker representing a certain painting. In addition to the footwear offering, the collection also extends to a range of apparel, such as crewnecks and T-shirts, which all feature similar Basquiat statements.

Complementing the footwear and apparel is a customisable offering via Converse By You, Converse’s product customisation platform. Two of Basquiat’s signature works—his iconic crown and Untitled (World Famous)—are available to select on the shoe’s upper, along with customisable All-Star patches, canvas, laces, rubber, and eyelets, enabling wearers to craft the Chuck Taylor All-Star in a distinct, expressive style.
