Tinker Hatfield may be best known as the creator of legendary Air Jordans including the AJ3, AJ4, and AJ11, but his latest project comes on an early ‘70s shoe from the Nike archive that he didn’t initially design and hasn’t previously worked on.
Hatfield has teamed up with resale platform GOAT, along with Division Street, an agency that works with University of Oregon student athletes on NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals, on three colorways of the Nike Blazer. Each of the green, grey, and white variations features the Swoosh relocated from its standard side placement to the heel, allowing for a large graphic of the Duck’s mascot Puddles to take center stage on the midfoot. The shoes feature a numbered tongue tag, with select pairs also including Hatfield-signed boxes.
This isn’t Hatfield’s first limited sneaker release with GOAT and Division Street. In August, 400 pairs of University of Oregon Air Jordan 8s were auctioned off. As with that release, proceeds will once again benefit U of O student-athletes.
These Nike Blazers are scheduled to release this Sunday, Nov. 20, exclusively on GOAT at 5pm EST for $275.
