Even being sneakerheads ourselves, the things some sneakerheads do confuse the shit out of us. Like what gets into someone's head that decides to do some lame shit. Do these people wake up in the morning and thing, 'I need to be lamer today than I was yesterday,' or is it just a natural ignorance they're born with? Perhaps you can give us some insight in the comments section. We know all of you know "someone" that does some of these questionable things and we know it's not you, but maybe someone out there can clear the air and explain these 10 Things Sneakerheads Do That Make No Sense.

Pay four figures for a sneaker just to impress people on the internet.
Before dropping your entire bank account on a single pair of sneakers, consider the following: 1) Posting any massively hyped sneaker months, if not years, after its initial release says just one thing - I paid a whole lot of money for these. 2) That money might be better used in paying off the debt accrued by your previous four-figure purchase. 3) The same amount, if used judiciously, can be spent on 12 other pairs at retail. 4) Have you ever met these people you're trying to impress? Will you ever meet them?
Wear plastic bags on their feet rather than get their sneakers wet.
Sneakers are meant to be worn, and, as such, show wear. Lamenting that your sneakers might get wet - no matter how precious they are - is futile. They're going to fall apart in 20 years whether you wear them or not, let alone whether they get wet or not. Embrace it.
Buy multiple pairs of sneakers that will be re-retroed anyway.
No matter how much you think you're gonna wear those favorites all the time, reality is, new shit is coming out everyday. You're not going to wear through all those pairs. And the same pair is going to retro a couple years from now anyway.
Keep their grails deadstock.
This has never made any sense. Unless your grails are unwearable due to age (or being a player's game-worn shoe), why would you get them and never wear them? If it's a sneaker you've always wanted, doesn't it follow that you've always wanted to WEAR them? Otherwise you're about two steps away from keeping them hidden from the light and referring to them as your precious. Don't be a Gollum.
Buy sneakers they'll never wear because they think they need them.
Once your collection gets over a certain number, it's time to start setting priorities and being brutally honest with yourself. Sure, you desperately want - no, need - those sneakers dropping this weekend that have been hyped up for the past three months, But will you still feel the same way next week? Next month? Or will they just be the next in a long chain of "why did I buy these again?" Our friends at TSG made a good point on this.
Wait in line to buy sneakers to re-sell.
The math doesn't add up. As much as it may seem we're making fum of you here, it's more like we're acting as your financial advisors. If you've been in line for a week to make 150 bucks on tomorrow's drop, you probably could have made twice that by geting a real job. Better yet, get an education so you don't look like a fool.
Think that having a pair early means they're special.
There once was a time when getting sneakers early meant something. We're pretty sure there was a time like that, anyway. Now, with a proliferation of eBay sellers and quasi-legit sites, anyone with a PayPal account can get sneakers early. Sometimes they might be "b-grades" or outright fakes, but hey, you got them Js tho.
Wear two different sneakers at the same time.
Even if they are Yeezy IIs, this still doesn't make any sense. Unless you're dressed up as Two-Face for Halloween, stick to one pair of shoes. Nobody is impressed by your ability to take lame to new heights, especially not the ladies.
Try to stunt with stacks of new releases.
Here's the deal. Nobody cares. On top of that, we know that you're in the back of Foot Locker, most of the shoes are for your friends, and you really couldn't fit all of those in your car anyway. So basically, you look like an idiot.
Lick sneakers.
Yes, we know: They're new sneakers. We get it. But have you ever taken a good, deep whiff when you open a new box? Is that really what you want to be tasting? Don't come crying to us when you grow a second tongue in a couple years.
