Nike has been lacing Odell Beckham Jr. in some incredible, one-of-a-kind cleats over the course of this NFL season with themes based on classic silhouettes like the Air Tech Challenge 2, Air More Uptempo, Air Trainer 1, and more. One of the most unique pairs were his recently unveiled PE cleats inspired by the Joker, a favorite comic book character of OBJ.
Beckham Jr. suited up in the pair prior to the New York Giants' Week 9 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. The design mimics the outfit of the Batman villain with a purple suede lapel, green silk shroud—complete with OBJ-branded buttons to cover the laces, a lavender sock collar, red Swoosh stitched on the lateral heel to symbolize the clown's creepy red smile, and "HA HA HA" embroidered in black across the upper to represent his maniacal laugh.Â

Nike's design team even created special details like playing cards featuring illustrations of the superstar receiver in a joker's outfit, and yellow school bus packaging as a callback to the opening scene of The Dark Knight.Â
