Gary Aspden looks to the Adidas archive once again for the Spring/Summer 2019 Spezial range.
The latest lineup will include five lifestyle silhouettes: the AS 520, Whalley, SL80(A), ZX 530, and the Norfu. The latter takes inspiration from retro models like the Korfu, Nizza, and Cannes. It sports a white canvas upper, navy blue branding hits, and sits atop a gum outsole. It has also been cosigned by musician Liam Gallagher, a noted fan of the casual culture-inspired collection.
Another highlight from the collection is the SL80(A), a model inspired by a version of the SL80 kept in the Adidas archive. It sports a vibrant yellow mesh upper, black suede overlays on the toe and heel, and orange accents on the Three Stripes and heel tab. The Whalley, being offered in two colorways, marks the first time that the Spezial Mod Trefoil logo has been included on a design.
Look for the entire Spring/Summer 2019 Adidas Spezial collection to arrive at adidas.com and other select retailers on March 8 alongside matching apparel. Pricing has yet to be announced.
