After a teaser from Jordan Brand on Twitter yesterday, Russell Westbrook's third signature basketball sneaker—the Jordan Why Not Zer0.3—has officially been unveiled.

Taking the bold aesthetic from its previous design, Westbrook's latest on-court model boasts a mixture of mesh and textiles on the upper and adds a midfoot strap for lockdown. "“I wanted something different on this one, and I think the strap adds a little bit of flare and uniqueness to it,” Westbrook explained in the press release.

The model also features a new Zoom Air cushioning system located in the forefoot that makes use of horizontal flex grooves for better court feel while maintaining a responsive ride. Capping off the design is a split outsole that incorporates a modified herringbone traction. Even with the ample amount of upgrades, this model will be the lightest shoe in Westbrook’s signature line to date.

“I don’t take it for granted that I have my own shoe with the Jordan Brand," said Westbrook. The shoe takes on an additional meaning for him too.  "Not only does it have a balance of great technology and style, but it represents more than just me. It represents hope and inspiration and aims to instill belief in the youth.”
