UPDATED 8/19 10:30 a.m. ET: Marcus Jordan is continuing to drop hints related to the next Trophy Room x Air Jordan project. In an Instagram post, Marcus confirmed this morning that the next Trophy Room x Air Jordan will be released during the Holiday 2021 season. What’s more is that the launch will apparently coincide with the opening of Trophy Room’s new physical store.

The original Trophy Room store in Orlando’s Disney Springs was closed in May of 2019. Plans for a new downtown Orlando location at 50 S. Rosalind Ave. were reported early last year, and now it looks like the ribbon cutting is just a few months away. Check back for more details on the opening and the upcoming Trophy Room x Air Jordan collaboration soon.

It’s been roughly three months since the controversial Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 High “Freeze Out” release, which was somewhat marred by allegations of backdooring against shop owner Marcus Jordan. Despite the launch clearly being hampered by pairs being distributed to resellers early and some sneakerheads threatening to boycott the store, Marcus isn’t slowing down and has seemingly confirmed his next collaboration.

Earlier tonight, Jordan took to Twitter to share the news, saying that he’s met with the Jordan design team about the project.

Had a ‘design huddle’ today with the Jordan Brand design team about the next @TrophyRoomStore x @Jumpman23 drop😳🙀🤐

Up until today I was unsure🤔🧐

After today, I’m geeked up😁🔥🔥🔥😱🤭🥲🔋🏆✨

In our report on the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 backdooring controversy in February, an industry insider told us that employees at Nike and Jordan Brand are aware of the allegations against Trophy Room, but are choosing not to speak out due to the store’s familial ties and the larger consequences that could come down as a result. Marcus has denied the allegations, instead blaming the early leaked pairs on thieves stealing them from the distribution center.

As of now, the model, concept or release date for Trophy Room’s next Jordan collab have not been revealed.
