The Weekly Drop: Your Guide to Australian Sneaker Releases, January 23

Where to cop the Mita x ASICS Gel Lyte III, Nike Air Max 1 'Chinese New Year' and more this week

We took about a month off but we're happy to say The Weekly Drop is back for another year. You may have caught Zac Hayse teaming up with Little Zac to tell you about Foot Locker's back to school deals over the break, but today it's back to business as usual.

Kicking it off for 2020, ASICS are linking up with Japan's Mita Sneakers to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the classic Gel Lyte III. This time around, Mita adds a zip to iconic split tongue and dips the toe in a deep red – symbolic of the Japanese flag – to create a unique take on the old favourite.

Still in Japan, Nike are getting in early with the Tokyo Olympic releases. Get to Hype DC from Saturday to catch a collection of Air Max 97s in the colours of the Olympic rings.

Plus, there's the wild Chinese New Year Air Max 1s, and two new looks for the Chuck 70 Low from Pigalle.

Get the info on these sneakers and more in the video above, and sign up to The Weekly Drop newsletter for even more Australian sneaker release info.
