The Air Jordan Retro 9 "Johnny Kilroy" buzz is in full swing, with the first release of the collection hitting stores this past weekend. However, this coming weekend, the Air Jordan 9 will be featured in a brand new capacity.

NFL stars Michael Crabtree, Josh Freeman, Dwight Freeney, Andre Johnson, LaMarr Woodley, Hakeem Nicks, and Charles Woodson will be lacing up custom Air Jordan 9 Cleats on the field this Sunday. These particular variations of the AJ9 are inspired by Japanese style, taking note of Jordan's seemingly endless global notoriety. Featuring Air Sole units, one-pull lacing, and an inner bootie, these are sure to perform at a professional level.

This actually marks the second time the AJ IX has been transformed into a cleat; Michael himself wore a black, cleated 9 during his foray into Minor League Baseball.
