Many have wondered if Kris Jenner was at the center of Kim Kardashian and Ray J’s sex tape scandal—and if she manufactured that moment by leaking the footage herself.
James Corden took it upon himself to find out the truth in the latest episode of his Late Late Show, strapping the 66-year-old momager to a lie detector test and asking her a series of questions. After warming Jenner up, he asked at the three-minute mark above, “Did you help Kim release her sex tape?”
Amid a boisterous crowd reaction, Kris shook her head and told them with a smile that “it’s okay.” Her answer was a definitive “no, no”—and was deemed to be telling the truth. She continued, “Thank you. We cleared that up.”
Ray J recently commented on his sex tape with Kim, telling the Daily Mail in May, “I’ve never leaked anything. I have never leaked a sex tape in my life. It has never been a leak.” He continued, “I never had a single [copy] at my house—she had them at her house. She’s always had all the tapes in a Nike shoe box under her bed. … Once I pitched the idea to her, just playing around a little bit, that’s when she jumped on the idea, talked to her mom and it was out of my hands from there.”
Corden asked the matriarch if Kylie Jenner is her favorite child. Kris didn’t hesitate, answering “yes.” She was telling the truth again.
Jenner was also asked if Kim ripped the Marilyn Monroe dress she wore to the Met Gala, which apparently she didn’t. “See? We’re clearing everything up today. I like this game!” Kris said.
Elsewhere on the episode, Kylie opened up about renaming her son, though she wouldn’t share his new name, and Kris and Kylie discussed how the former reorganizes the latter’s house when she’s not around.
Kris and Kylie Jenner appeared on Corden’s show to promote the forthcoming Kylie Cosmetics capsule the Kris Collection, which arrives Sept. 14. It’s the second time the pair have collaborated on a makeup line, with their first being the Momager Collection in 2018.
