Rogan spoke at length about recent issues that supposedly highlight why he isn't a full-blown Republican, including attacks on LGBTQIA+ rights.

Joe Rogan has shared some phallically concerned advice for critics who have accused him of being, in his words, a “secret conservative.”

The topic came up during a recent interview on the comedian’s show with Andrew Schulz, with Rogan detailing conservatives’ ongoing efforts to undermine progress. First, as seen in the excerpt shared by the official JRE account above, Rogan mentioned the overturning of Roe v. Wade before turning the conversational attention to threats against LGBTQIA+ rights.

“The fact that they’re going after [gay marriage] now almost makes me feel like they want us to fight,” Rogan told Schulz. “They wanna divide us in the best way they can. And this is the best way for them to keep pulling off all the bullshit they’re doing behind the scenes is to get us to fight over things like gay marriage or to get us to fight over things like abortion. It’s like, why are you removing freedoms?”

Continuing, Rogan pointed to these issues as among “the kind of shit” that inspires him to not be a Republican.

“People will say, like, ‘Oh you’re a secret conservative.’ I’m like, you can suck my dick. You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about,” Rogan said. “I’m so far away from being a Republican. Just because I believe in the Second Amendment and just because I support the military and just because I support police. Like, I was on welfare as a kid. I think it’s important. I think having a social safety net is crucial. We should help each other. We’re supposed to be one big community.”

According to Rogan, he’s a “bleeding heart liberal” on multiple issues but would “fall into the more conservative side” on issues he defined as being focused on “discipline and hard work.”

Rogan, of course, has been at the center of a number of ideological controversies in recent years, particularly during the pandemic era. In May, a clip from his podcast showed him finding out in real time that he was actually parroting fake news during an interview with a conspiracy theorist.
