IShowSpeed opened up about the extent of his injuries that he suffered after appearing in the WWE’s Royal Rumble earlier this month.
The streamer recently shared how he felt after the event during a broadcast to his viewers. “The day after Bron Breakker speared me chat, I had probably one of the worst headaches,” he explained. “I couldn't move."
“I genuinely thought that I was about to die,” Speed added. “One of the craziest, worst experiences ever.”
Speed took part in the WWE’s Royal Rumble match on Feb. 1. He joined the event after wrestler Carmelo Hayes attacked Akira Tozawa at the entrance to the ring. Soon after, he helped toss 330-pound wrestler Otis over the top rope.
Seconds later, as Speed performed Cristiano Ronaldo’s “sui” celebration, Breaker speared the speed out of him, sending the streamer into a crumpled heap on the floor. Soon after, he was tossed out of the ring and caught by Otis — who then proceeded to throw him over the announcer’s desk.
Cameras later captured Speed meeting up with Logan Paul backstage and showing off a gruesome injury on his leg. It looked like someone had torn off a chunk of flesh.
Paul, being the medical genius extraordinaire that he is, told Speed that he should just “walk it off, you’ll be alright.”
The reason that Speed was there in the first place was because wrestling superstar Triple H invited him to the event via FaceTime call.
Triple H’s call was caught on live stream where he explained what Speed could do at the event. "You can have access backstage, you can come talk to all the superstars, you can stream with them," Triple H said. "I'll even let you come to Gorilla Position and sit with me and stream up there if you want."
Speed seems to be like a magnet for pain. Just months before, he had nearly knocked himself out attempting a backflip in front of his girlfriend, Vanessa.
