Footage has been made public in connection with the recent Florida arrest of Ryan McKenna, perhaps most known for appearing alongside Justin Timberlake in a viral Super Bowl photo back in 2018.

McKenna, widely referred to as Selfie Kid, is seen in newly released TMZ-obtained footage being slammed to the ground by responding law enforcement officials during the February arrest.

“Put your hands behind your back!” Someone is heard yelling in the brief footage, seen above. “Now, you’re getting arrested.”

Complex has reached out to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office for comment. This story may be updated.

The 18-year-old McKenna was previously reported to have been arrested at a California Pizza Kitchen, with the reported arrest notably having occurred on the eve of the 2023 edition of the Super Bowl. At the time, it was claimed that police had initially responded to the scene after what a friend to Selfie Kid described as a verbal fight that had escalated.

Ultimately, McKenna was hit with charges including resisting arrest and battery on a law enforcement officer. While it had been claimed in reports that McKenna was intoxicated at the time of the incident, the viral star’s mother later told TMZ that was not true.

For now, Selfie Kid hasn’t publicly addressed any of this. At the time of this writing, his most recent social media activity included a pair of updates from Florida, including one from an NHL-related red carpet event.
