Pete Davidson Defends Kim Kardashian, Says He’s ‘Done Being Quiet’ in Alleged Text Exchange With Kanye West

The text exchange was first shared to social media by Davidson's friend and fellow comic Dave Sirus after Kanye accused the comedian "antagonizing" him.

A purported text exchange between Pete Davidson and the artist formerly known as Kanye West has been made public, with the Saturday Night Live star seen referring to himself as the oft-used-by-Ye nickname “Skete” while also telling the Donda 2 artist to “Grow the fuck up.”

“Yo it’s Skete,” Davidson is seen saying in a screenshot of the alleged exchange, which was initially shared (and deleted) by Davidson’s friend and fellow comic/writer Dave SirusPage Six later cited the texts as “real” in a report shared Sunday.

“Can you please take a second and calm down. It’s 8am and it don’t gotta be like this. Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met,” Davidson continued. “What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so fucking lucky that she’s your kids mom. I’ve decided I’m not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet. Grow the fuck up.”

Ye’s involvement in the screenshot-captured portion of the exchange is limited. At one point, he’s pictured asking Davidson for his location, with the King of Staten Island actor responding that he was presently “in bed with your wife” before sharing a selfie.

Elsewhere, Ye is seen in screenshots inviting Davidson to a Sunday Service session and—in response to the aforementioned selfie—telling him that he’s “happy to see you’re out the hospital and rehab.” Davidson responded to this by extending the same to Ye, while also telling him to “stop being a little internet bitch boy.”

Also in the alleged texts, Davidson is seen referencing mental health struggles and claiming that he has “stopped SNL” and other comedians from making jokes about Ye.

Also on Sunday, Ye shared (and later removed) multiple posts to IG, including remarks in opposition to daughter North West’s use of TikTok. “I just got off the phone with Kim,” Ye said in one clip. “I told her to stop antagonizing me with this TikTok thing.” He also accused Davidson of “antagonizing me,” and “bragging about being in bed with my wife.”

This month, Kim Kardashian was declared legally single after a Los Angeles judge granted a motion seeking the change. In April, the Kim-featuring new Hulu series The Kardashians will premiere, notably marking the first such project from the family since the completion of Keeping Up With the Kardashians on E! last year.

Ye, meanwhile, is currently in the middle of rolling out his Donda sequel via Kano Computing and Yeezy Tech’s Stem Player device. The first Donda is simultaneously up for multiple awards at this year’s Grammys, including Album of the Year.
