Of course.

Thanks to dozens of writers being hit with an aggregation assignment from a shaky source last week in the name of clicks, the planet was briefly inundated with variations on the Keanu Reeves Is a Lonely Guy theme. Now, as you may have heard over the weekend, the purported Lonely Guy interview that started all this nonsense has been revealed to have never actually happened.

"This interview did not happen," a rep for Keanu told The Huffington Postover the weekend. "This was pieced together from several interviews and the majority of these questions were not asked nor answered. They are fabricated." The original source for this act of falsity, according to the Post, was Star2.com out of Malaysia.

Wonderful. Perhaps, given our current circumstances, it's best to just take in every bit of information you receive by way of aggregated aggregators aggregating aggregations with a grain of salt. Better yet, deny the clicks outright and do your own research.

For a real Keanu Reeves interview that definitely happened, we turn back to that excellent GQ profile by Alex Pappademas that dropped in April. "I haven't really thought about my career future, or what was going to happen, until really recently," Reeves said in the must-read interview, which includes some motorcycle talk and a touching story about a special on-set A Walk in the Clouds moment he shared with Anthony Quinn.
