Few careers have been as widely varied as that of confirmed national treasureJeff Daniels. He gave us all something to tweet about with three uneven but widely discussed seasons of The Newsroom, sure. But he also gave us all something beautifully dumb with Dumb & Dumber and, to a lesser extent, Dumb & Dumber To. Finally answering the call of everyone who ever thought "I wonder what Harry Dunne would have said?" while binge-watching Newsroom using their roommate's HBO NOW password, our guy Jeff hurled these two seemingly disparate worlds together on Tuesday's Late Late Show With James Corden.

Daniels, whose most recent film The Martian is currently making a ridiculous amount of money at the box office, is busy promoting director Danny Boyle and Newsroom mastermind Aaron Sorkin's highly anticipated Steve Jobs biopic. Jeff portrays John Sculley, former CEO of Apple (from 1983 to 1993) and former president of Pepsi-Cola.

It also seems worth noting here that Jeff is, in fact, much better at Pictionary than his unfortunate competition partnerNelly:
