Fresh off a Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee discussion in which his return to stand-up was said to hinge on simply nailing down the right timing, Eddie Murphy is now the subject of a report alleging he's in talks with current leading stand-up specials provider Netflix.

Citing the usual "sources connected to" types, TMZ claimed Friday that Murphy is already in discussions with Netflix for an undetermined amount of specials. Dollars wise, the report alleges that negotiations are currently in the neighborhood of $70 million, which is notably higher than the reported $60 million and $40 million bagged by Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock, respectively.

Though Murphy has been away from the stage for some time, his return has felt imminent in recent months, mostly hinged on the nature of that aforementioned Coffee-assisted chat with fellow legend Jerry Seinfeld.

During their conversation, which you should definitely be watching instead of reading my drivel, Murphy recalled how the late Don Rickles would constantly bring up the topic of a return to stand-up.

"I'm going to do it again," Murphy confirmed. "Everything just has to be right. You have to get up there and start working it out."

Naturally, fans of the revered comedy icon were quick to share digital approval of Murphy's impending return:
