Following Monday's revelation that Bill Cosby admitted — in a 2005 testimony — to obtaining Quaaludes with the sole intention of giving them to women with whom he wanted to have sex, Disney has confirmed the swift removal of a bronze statue depicting the once-revered comedian from its Hollywood Studios theme park in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
According to a variety of local outlets, the statue was removed shortly after the park closed for business on Tuesday evening. Monday's news of Cosby's admission stems from a deposition in former Temple University basketball team employee Andrea Constand's 2005 sexual abuse lawsuit against Cosby. Though the suit was eventually settled confidentially, the AP reports that a federal judge unsealed the testimony earlier this week.
Somehow, The View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Raven-Symoné are still publicly defending Cosby as the fires of justice grow potentially taller.
