Jared Leto is facing allegations of sexual misconduct, detailed in a new investigative report published by Air Mail.
The exposé, titled The Cult of Leto, includes accounts from nine women who allege inappropriate behavior by the actor and musician, some claiming they were underage at the time of their interactions with him.
Among the accusers is DJ and producer Allie Teilz, who first raised concerns in 2012. In a recent Instagram post, Teilz alleged she was 17 when Leto assaulted her, stating: “He knew my age and didn’t care. What he did was predatory, terrifying, and unacceptable.” Her story prompted others to come forward, with some women alleging misconduct dating back to when they were as young as 14.
Model Laura La Rue also recounted meeting Leto in 2008 at age 16, claiming he initiated contact despite knowing her age. She further alleged that when she was 17, he exposed himself during a private visit. A representative for Leto denied the claim, asserting that the interactions were neither sexual nor inappropriate. The spokesperson also noted that La Rue later applied to be Leto’s personal assistant.
Another woman described a separate incident occurring after she turned 18, alleging Leto exposed himself and coerced physical contact.
While the report does not allege sexual activity with minors, behavior involving young women. Several accusers described being contacted by Leto through text, phone, or email after meeting him at events or concerts, often while still in their teens.
The Air Mail article suggests that these incidents were not isolated, but part of a broader pattern of alleged grooming and inappropriate conduct dating back to the mid-2000s. Some women claimed they were invited to private parties where Leto was reportedly surrounded by much younger female fans.
Leto, 53, has not personally responded to the allegations. However, a spokesperson for the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman issued a firm denial, stating there is “no truth” to any of the claims made in the article and that the accusations are “categorically false.”
No physical evidence has been provided in support of the allegations, and none of the accusers claim Leto engaged in illegal sexual activity with minors. Still, the detailed accounts have renewed public scrutiny around the actor’s conduct and raised questions about accountability in the entertainment industry.
As of press time, representatives for Leto had not responded to additional requests for comment.
