Nintendo just released its newest downloadable title to the Wii U and the second in the NES Remix series. NES Remix 2 borrows bite-sized pieces of classic Nintendo games and puts them into remixed challenges. Much like the competition cartridges from the 1990s, those gold boxes that appear on Ebay for thousands of dollars, these small games add up to some of the best of Nintendo gaming and takes gamers on a trip down memory lane.
Unfortunately these old school remixes are not coming to Nintendo's 3DS, as the company said it needs the power of the Wii U console to get the games to play correctly. NES Remix 2 is available now through the Nintendo eShop. Check out the trailer below.
NES Remix 2 includes parts of the following games: Dr. Mario, Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Ice Hockey, Kid Icarus, Kirby's Adventure, Mario Open Golf, Metroid, Punch-Out!, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Wario's Woods, Zelda II: The Adventures of Link.
