Remember Daniel Holtzclaw? He’s the former Oklahoma City police officer convicted of sexually assaulting eight women of color. He also cried like a baby when the verdict was read. Now, with the threat of 263 consecutive years looming over his head, Holtzclaw wants another trial. According to the Associated Press, his attorney Scott Adams filed that request on Wednesday just as he is to be sentenced on Thursday.

The filing, available on KFOR-TV’swebsite, accuses prosecutors of withholding evidence. "If there is additional DNA evidence despite the government's representations to the contrary, and if there are additional people who came forward and falsely claimed that they were victims…then deliberate misrepresentations were made not only to the defense counsel but to the Court, calling into question the credibility of the government's entire case," it read.

No word yet on how District Judge Timothy Henderson will respond.
