Pete Davidson was spotted Friday night hanging out with Kim Kardashian, sister Kourtney with her new fiancée Travis Barker, and others at Knott’s Berry Farm in California.

Since Kim and Davidson are apparently single, speculation quickly arose regarding a potential romance, and was just as swiftly shot down.

“They hang in the same circles so they will be together from time to time,” an insider toldPeople. “It’s just friends hanging out.”

Pete is close friends with Machine Gun Kelly, who’s dating Megan Fox; those two snapped that bizarre bathroom kissing photo alongside Kourtney and Barker, which was unnecessarily shared on Instagram. If we gotta see it again, you do too.

Kourtney and Megan elevated their friendship to new heights with a photoshoot to promote a new line of SKIMS, which was founded by Kim.

Now that we’re done connecting those particular dots, back to Pete and Kim. Even though they were photographed sitting together and holding hands while on roller coaster, a source told TMZ there were no instances of Davidson and Kardashian showing any sort of affection toward one another, further proving that the two are “simply friends.”

The outlet noted that Pete and Kim have been friends for quite some time, well before her Saturday Night Live hosting gig earlier this month where they kissed each other in a sketch parodying the 1992 animated film Aladdin. They were allegedly invited by Kourtney and Travis, and were joined by Tracy Romulus, Stephanie Shepherd, Harry Hudson, and “and a couple of other friends of [Davidson].”
