In the latest trailer for the upcoming Jaume Collet-Serra-directed film Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, we get a better idea of the stakes at play as Frank Wolff (Johnson) and Dr. Lily Houghton (Blunt) team up to venture into the Amazon in their pursuit of a magical tree with healing powers.

As you might expect, their journey will not be a smooth on,e as a school of piranhas, jaguars, and the great unknown of the river itself threaten to prevent them from reaching their final destination. However, none of those factors may be as big of a threat as the unnamed villain, played by Jesse Plemons, who also wants to find that same magical tree.

Jungle Cruise is based on the Disney ride of the same name, which had a mishap in Florida's Magic Kingdom in February, when the boat sank as passengers were still aboard. Thankfully, no one was injured.

That same month, Johnson delivered the eulogy at the funeral of his father, who died of a heart attack in January at the age of 75.

Reflecting on his father's passing, Johnson recalled being in a fog as he was heading into the very first day of production of Jungle Cruise,  until he ultimately received the clarity he needed. “In that moment, I just thought ‘Well, what do I need to do? What’s the next thing that I need to do?' And I heard a voice say, ‘Well, hey, the show must go on,’ and that was my dad," he said during the eulogy. "That was my old man who told me that."

Meanwhile, Blunt is poised for a big spring, as A Quiet Place Part II comes out later this month.

Jungle Cruise is slated to hit theaters on July 24. Watch the new trailer up top.
