As far as I know, Omarosa Manigault came to the public's attention when she participated on the first season of The Apprentice, and so it would seem natural that things come full circle and she would end up back on reality TV. As relayed by The Hollywood Reporter, Manigault was added to the new season of CBS's Celebrity Big Brother, which is set to debut on Feb. 7. That cast reveal was presented in a promo prior to Sunday night's Grammy Awards.
Omarosa had resigned (or was fired?) from her previous job as an aide in the Trump White House, so this most recent move would probably represent a step up for her career. That dismissal was said to have gone down in dramatic fashion, as Manigault was reportedly fired by chief of staff John Kelly. After being told by Kelly that the president had signed off on her dismissal, Manigault allegedly turned "vulgar" and attempted to get into Trump's residence. Those reports stated that she was forcibly removed from the White House grounds, though the Secret Service denied that they were a part of that removal.
It's not a real flattering report, but that shit's great for your reality TV resume. Joining her in the house will be: Ariadna Gutierrez (Miss Colombia 2014), Brandi Glanville (an ex-Real Housewife of Beverly Hills who also appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice), Chuck Liddell (an ex-UFC Champ/Hall of Famer), Big Time Rush singer/actor James Maslow, Cosby Show actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, Broadway actress Marissa Jaret Winokur, ex-Sugar Ray frontman and TV host Mark McGrath, ex-NBAer Metta World Peace, television host Ross Matthews, and actress Shannon Elizabeth.
The show is set to air over the course of 13 nights between Feb. 7 and Feb. 25, and is intended as counter-programming for the Winter Olympics on NBC (jeez, talk about a month where you wouldn't mind your power going out).
On top of being able to view it on your TV, you can also watch a live and uncensored 24/7 feed via CBS All Access. There's bound to be some viral moments there.
