Louis C.K.: 'I'd Rather Be in Auschwitz Than New York City'

Louis C.K. is still getting gigs. His travels led him to tell a Holocaust joke in Israel last week.

C.K. was performing at a show in Tel Aviv, Israel for a crowd that TMZ describes as "predominantly Jewish citizens." During his set, Louie joked that he'd "rather be in Auschwitz than New York City." The crowd reportedly loved the joke, which he punctuated with a stepback: "I mean now, not when it was open."

C.K. is one of the comedians who believe the American audience is limiting their art form because of supposed political correctness. The premise of the bit was the scrutiny he receives from people in New York City, according to TMZ. He also joked about getting the middle finger by random New Yorkers while out at a diner and on the street.

The longtime comedian fell out of public favor after he was accused of masturbating in front of women and using his status to his advantage. The comedian admitted to these allegations before going into a self-imposed exile. C.K. continued his stand-up career after the hiatus, but most of his jokes following his admission have been heavily criticized, especially his bit about the Parkland shooting survivors.
