Don't be surprised if Tyrese tries to fade Vin Diesel once he's done beefing with The Rock because it was announced Diesel's plan for a Fast and Furious spin-off has been given legs.

On Wednesday (Jan. 23), Diesel took to Instagram with a post announcing that his idea to make a female-centric Fast and Furious movie has been pitched to Universal. This led to an all-woman scriptwriting team being crafted that includes Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer, and Geneva Robertson-Dworet. And although there is no information on the direction of the movie, it is assumed that longtime Fast franchise member Michelle Rodriguez will reprise her role as Letty to star in the film.

This is one of three spin-offs that the Fast franchise has promised to deliver Universal Studios. These adjacent projects have caused tension between some of the cast members. Most notably, Tyrese has been vocal about the emphasis the spin-offs have had over the production of the core installments, leading him to go public with his beef with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson back in October.

Tyrese blamed the delay of the ninth Fast and Furious installment on The Rock's decision to do a spin-off with Jason Statham. And while most of Tyrese's aggression was towards The Rock, he did mention that part of the problem was Diesel being unprofessional.

This combined with the feminine focus of the Vin Diesel-produced spin-off leaves room for fans to wonder if Tyrese's "Roman Pearce" will even have a cameo.
