Soon after last week's ISIS attacks on Paris, the French government retaliated with a series of anti-terror raids throughout the capital city. During their search for suspects, a police dog named Diesel was killed. To honor the dog, whose death prompted the trending hashtag #JeSuisChien ("I am dog") on Twitter, the Russian government has offered a German shepherd as "a sign of solidarity" to the French police and people.
Diesel was a seven-year-old Belgian shepherd who was killed during a seven hour raid in suburb Saint-Denis, where alleged mastermind behind the attacks Abdelhamid Abaaoud was also killed.
Russia's Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev tweeted a photo of the puppy his country gifted along with a signed letter in support of France.

Peace for Paris.
