Another woman is coming forward to accuse Jeremy Piven of sexual misconduct while she was on the set of Entourage.
In a new report by BuzzFeed Newspublished Wednesday evening, Anastasia Taneie, who was 23 years old working as a background actor in Los Angeles at the time, claims Piven touched her inappropriately on the set of Entourage. Taneie tells BuzzFeed News that Piven forcefully pushed her up against a wall and began grabbing her breasts and genitals in a dark hallway.
“I was scared at the time nobody was going to believe me. I didn’t want to make a scene. I just wanted to go home,” she said. “It was the most horrible thing I’ve ever experienced.”
Taneie says Piven stopped when allegedly an assistant director walked by. It was at this point that Piven asked Taneie to be removed from set for trying to hit on him.
The story quotes Piven denying all sexual misconduct accusations against him. He claims to have taken a polygraph test on Nov. 13, with the results given to BuzzFeed News allegedly showing he has passed by the examiner when asked about previous allegations – like Ariane Bellamar, who tweeted her story about Piven on Oct. 30.
“Let me be absolutely clear, this simply did not happen,” he told BuzzFeed News in a statement. “I would never force myself on a woman. I cannot speak as to why a person would create a story like this.”
Taneie says she never formally complained to anyone on Entourage, fearing that nobody was going to believe her. “I didn’t want to make a scene. I just wanted to go home,” she says.
“We reviewed our records and did not receive any complaints against Jeremy Piven on Entourage,” HBO said in a statement. “HBO takes sexual harassment very seriously and we make it a priority to ensure that everyone experiences a safe and comfortable work environment.”
Piven currently plays Jeffrey Tanner on CBS’s Wisdom of the Crowd. The network has not issued a statement on Taneie's story as of this writing.
