A Full Timeline of Diddy and Yung Miami's Open Relationship

Over the weekend, Diddy took to Twitter to announce the arrival of his seventh child, a baby girl named after him. “I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl Love Sean Combs to the world,” he tweeted. “God is the Greatest!” It immediately begged the question of what was going on with him and Yung Miami.

At first, the identity of Diddy’s baby girl’s mother wasn’t public knowledge. However, TMZ later reported that 28-year-old Dana Tran, who works in cyber security, is actually the child’s mother—not Yung Miami. Miami and Diddy have been romantically linked since last year. The couple confirmed their relationship in June on the City Girls rapper’s podcast series, Caresha, Please.

Diddy said of their relationship at the time that they "go have dates, we're friends. We go to exotic locations. We have great times." Miami echoed a similar sentiment in an interview with XXL a few months later. She explained that they have the freedom to see other people and that it might be confusing to those who aren’t familiar with the idea of an open relationship. “People don’t know what dating means. He’s single, I’m single, but we’re dating. That’s what I mean when I say we go together. When we’re together, we’re together. We’re having the time of our lives, but we’re still single,” she explained. 

Things between the couple have been heating up, with notable key points throughout their relationship. Some fans might recall their picture-worthy moments together on Instagram, Miami holding a “Go Papi” sign during Diddy’s acceptance speech at the BET Awards, and more. Diddy has even gone on to say “Nobody’s [loved] me like this” about her. Like any couple in the limelight, they’ve also had their fair share of issues—an alleged breakup last month and having to shut down side-chick accusations following Diddy’s new baby news.

When: June 2022

Yung Miami showed the ultimate support for Diddy when he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 BET Awards. During his acceptance speech, the camera panned on Miami, who was smiling ear-to-ear holding a “Go Papi” sign. A few days later, the couple was met with backlash online, after fans pointed out that Diddy thanked some of his exes rather than his current love interest. It didn’t take long before the Bad Boys founder hopped on Instagram to thank the City Girls rhymer. 

“This is one of the sweetest things anyone’s ever done for me!” Diddy wrote alongside a photo of Yung Miami holding up the sign. “Thank you Shawty Wop!”

Yung Miami says Diddy sees ‘other people outside of me’

During an interview with XXL published in September, Yung Miami spoke more about her relationship with Diddy. She explained that while they are dating, they see other people outside of each other. The “Act Up” rapper added that people have a misconception about her dating terms.

“We are dating. We single, but we’re dating. People don’t know what dating means. He’s single, I’m single, but we’re dating. That’s what I mean when I say we go together. When we’re together, we’re together. We’re having the time of our lives, but we’re still single,” she said. 

“I’m doing me. He’s doing the same thing. I can’t speak for exactly what he doing or who he seeing, but we single and we dating.”

In honor of Diddy’s birthday this year, Yung Miami gifted her beau with an iced-out chain at his party. The hip-hop mogul didn’t hide his excitement. A video posted to Twitter showed Diddy getting on his knees, thanking Miami for the luxury gift. He explained that he’s never experienced this type of support from a woman. “Ain’t nobody loving me like this,” he said in the clip. “She love me like this.”

Last month, gossip blog MediaTakeOut reported that Yung Miami and Diddy split after the latter “cut her allowance to just $200,000 a month.” At the time, both Miami and Diddy removed photos of each other from their Instagram accounts. Within a few days, Miami posted a photo of herself in a room filled with red roses. She panned the camera to a note that read, “Love Papi.” Fans assumed that the two worked out their alleged differences with this post.

Diddy nearly broke the internet when he took to Twitter to announce the arrival of the baby girl he named after himself. “I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl Love Sean Combs to the world,” he tweeted. “God is the Greatest!” At the time, it wasn’t clear who the child’s mother was. However, TMZ reported that the baby girl’s mother is 28-year-old Dana Tran, who works in cyber security. It didn’t take long before Tran removed herself from social media. According to the birth certificate obtained by the outlet, Tran and Diddy welcomed their daughter on Oct. 15.

One day after Yung Miami took to Twitter to respond to Akademiks’ side chick accusations, Diddy issued a statement. The Bad Boys founder explained that Yung Miami is not his side chick and that he doesn’t play about his “Shawty Wop.” In another tweet, the father of seven said “think what you want.”

On Dec. 13, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Gina Huynh decided to add fuel to the fire after learning that her ex-boyfriend welcomed another child. Huynh trolled Yung Miami, who she went back and forth with online months ago after she was spotted with Diddy. “When she beefin with you over a [ninja emoji] but whole time he got somebody else pregnant,” Huynh wrote, alongside a video of herself trolling the situation. “City Girls down 1000.”

After catching wind of the shade, both JT and Miami fired back. JT even alleged that Diddy made Huynh have an abortion. In a series of tweets, Miami didn’t hold back her tongue, either. Huynh, on the other hand, appeared to be unbothered. “Caresha you know you wanna taste this yum yum sauce,” Huynh wrote over a photo of her sticking her tongue out.

Miami responded, “If I wanted you to eat my p**** diddy would’ve had you on your knees hoe!!! You a eater!!!!!!!,” she continued. “B**** you a munch!!!”

In addition to Huynh, Diddy has also been previously linked to Daphne Joy. More recently, he was photographed hanging out with Instagram model Shawntya Joseph.

While speaking with Trina on her Caresha Please podcast, Yung Miami revealed that she enjoys it when a man urinates on her during sex. 

“Take a shot if you like golden showers,” Yung Miami said during the “Resha Roulette” segment. “I do” she confessed while laughing.

“Golden showers? Meaning when a guy pees on you?” Trina asked for clarity. “Pee on you everywhere? You like it?”

“I don’t know, it just do something to me,” Miami admitted.

Following the interview, “Pee Diddy” started trending on Twitter, with users suggesting that Diddy and Miami have engaged in that kink.

During an interview with The Cut, Yung Miami revealed her relationship status with Diddy. 

“No,” she said when asked if they were together. 

Despite the breakup, Miami explained that they still keep in touch. “We’re still friends! We’re still good friends! But we’re single. That’s not my man,” she continued. “We had our own situation, I’m not gonna put a title on it. We were fucking with each other hard. We were together every day at one point. He supported me, I supported him. I’ll let the internet call it whatever they want to call it.”

TV host and actress La La Anthony put Diddy in the hot seat when she asked him about his relationship with Yung Miami at the 2023 Met Gala. Diddy, who attended the fashion event with his Miami as his date, began sweating profusely. 

“She gonna answer that,” he said while laughing and wiping the sweat from his forehead. “Nah, nah, yes, of course—real bad, we here.”

“Alright, real bad? It’s official, real bad?” Anthony pushed again.

“I don’t know what you asked me exactly. We definitely go together real bad. … She’s my date for the night, she’s incredible,” Diddy answered.
