Nickelodeon is officially bringing its SpongeBob Squarepants prequel series featuring the original voice cast to airwaves this summer.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will be titled Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, a CG-animated prequel that was ordered to series in mid-2019 and will roll out this July. We’ll see 10-year-old SpongeBob at summer camp, brought to life again by Tom Kenny, working alongside Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton). Additionally, we’ll hear Mary Jo Catlett (Mrs. Puff), Jill Talley (Karen), and Lori Alan (Pearl), who were also in the original cast. New characters will be voiced by Carlos Alazraqui and Kate Higgins. Kamp Koral premieres in July.

The kid-centric Nickelodeon has a full lineup of content for 2020 and 2021 as it looks to enlarge its current franchises and introduce new ones. Included in its slated shows are renewals of Paw Patrol and Blaze and the Monster Machines. Nick has also revived some iconic shows, including a second season of Are You Afraid of the Dark? and 10 more episodes of the first season of All That, Deadline reports.

Back in November, Paramount's The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run received its official trailer. Acting as the third installation in the SpongeBob movies and the sequel to 2015’s Sponge Out of Water, the film serves as a prequel to the TV series, following SpongeBob and Patrick as they try to rescue Gary the Snail.
