UPDATED 1/24, 4:10 p.m. ET:  Meek Mill's 2016 concert shooting case has been dropped, The Blast reports

Meek was sued in three lawsuits after a shooting occurred outside of a Connecticut concert Meek was performing at. The family of Travis Ward, a victim in the shooting who died, told the court they are dropping the charges against Meek after they initially asserted that Meek, Live Nation, and the Oakdale Musical Theatre Company should have hired more security for the event. All three of the lawsuits have now been dismissed.

Meek Mill will make his feature film debut this year in the upcoming movie Charm City Kings. Sony Pictures Classics has also shared the movie’s first trailer.

Helmed by Angel Manuel Soto, the film stars Jahi Di’Allo Winston as a 14-year-old named Mouse, who’s taken in by a dirt biker named Blax, played by Mill. Charm City Kings also stars Will Catlett, Teyonah Parris, Donielle Tremaine Hansley, and Kezii Curtis.

The film is based on a story co-written by Moonlight director Barry Jenkins and includes Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith as executive producers, per Pitchfork. Charm City Kings premieres at Sundance on Jan. 27, ands begins screening elsewhere on April 10. Watch the trailer above.

Mill has also received some good news regarding the wrongful death lawsuit that was filed against him in 2017. According to The Blast, the family of a man killed outside the rapper’s show in 2016 has dismissed all claims against Mill.

Jaquan Graves was shot and killed in the parking lot outside the Connecticut concert. The rapper was slammed with a separate suit by the estate of Travis Ward, another man who was killed during the shooting. Both estates proposed to settle their cases for $3 million dollars. So far, the rapper has shut down two lawsuits involving the shooting, with one still pending.
