The Monsterverse is set to invade the small-screen.

According to DeadlineAppleTV+ has ordered a live-action television series featuring Godzilla and the other Titans. The untitled spinoff show will be produced by Legendary Television and executive produced by creators Matt Fraction and Chris Black; the latter of whom will also serve showrunner.

The show will continue the franchise’s story that began with 2014’s Godzilla flick. The project was followed by 2017’s Kong: Skull Island, 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong—all of which collectively earned nearly $2 billion at the global box office.

Per the logline released by AppleTV+:

Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.

Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold of Safehouse Pictures will also executive produce with Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita for Toho, the company that owns the licensing rights to Legendary.

AppleTV+ has yet to announce a premiere date or any casting information. The announcement comes as Legendary develops another untitled film set within the Monsterverse. Netflix is also set release a Skull Island anime series that will reportedly follow a shipwrecked crew.
