When Justin Bieber and Selena Gomezended their relationship in 2012, the world became a little bit darker. Right after the breakup it looked like the couple might be rekindling their spark (Bieber really wanted it to happen), but that hope proved false. But this year both Bieber and Gomez both released well-publicized albums and, during press tours, expressed love and support for each other (and even collaborated on one of Bieber's songs).
All the good feelings culminated in Jelena being spotted together for the first time in more than a year—the two reunited at Montage hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday, TMZ reports. At the hotel bar, Bieber took over the piano and microphone to serenade Gomez with "My Girl." Unsurprisingly, he showed off just a little in the vocals department.
Afterward, the two apparently took a stroll around the neighborhood. Maybe there's hope for this world after all.
