French animation studio Ankama Animations teamed up with Japanese anime production house Studio 4°C teamed up last year for the striking Mutafukaz, with comic artist Guillaume "Run Renard" and Shōjirō Nishimi serving as directors. The film, which combines everything from sci-fi to film noir, is now getting a release with an English dub, and they've recruited some pretty big names to voice some of the characters.

Among those names is Vince Staples, who stars as one of the main characters, Vinz. Retitled MFKZ, the new version of the film sees Staples starring alongside Kenn Michael as Angelino, and will also feature voice acting from Wu-Tang's RZA, Danny Trejo, and Dascha Polanco of Orange Is the New Black fame among others.

To coincide with the announcement of the dub's cast, the studios have shared a new red-band trailer. MFKZ promises to follow Vinz and Angelino as they navigate life in an L.A.-inspired dystopian city before discovering they have superpowers, and from the look of the trailer it definitely lives up to its insane premise.

As revealed by Pitchfork, the film will be playing in North American theaters on October 11 and October 16. Get tickets for showings of MFKZ here.
