Starz has every reason to believe in 50 Cent, the petty producer behind their hit show Power. They are rewarding the rapper turned mogul with another series. According to Deadline, he's teaming up with La La Anthony for a new drama called Intercepted

Intercepted is based on the novel by Alexa Martin. The best-seller follows Marlee Harper, an NFL girlfriend whose life is turned on its head when she finds herself suddenly single. She says that she'll never date another athlete, in an attempt to move on from her past mistakes. The quarterback of her hometown team has other ideas, however.

Intercepted was part one of a trilogy by Martin based on her years as an NFL wife. Anthony will play the lead of Harper, bringing the same sort of experience to the role that Martin brought to the novels. La La has been married to NBA star Carmelo Anthony since 2010.

The new show falls under a four-year development deal that Fif signed with Starz last year that was rumored to be worth $150 million. In addition to Intercepted, new series The Black Mafia Family and Vanguard are being produced for Starz under the rapper's G-Unit banner.

“When I sat down with [Starz CEO Chris Albrecht] and walked him through my plans for G-Unit Film & Television going forward, he let me know I was essentially requesting the biggest deal in premium cable history,” Jackson said at the time. “We will continue our proven track record of breaking records and delivering unique content for audiences around the world. Get the strap.”
