Kevin Hart decided to drag Leslie Jones into his drama with Katt Williams, and she’s not having it. In a statement to Bossip, Jones decided to put both comedians in their place for not doing their part to help women in the industry.
Read what she said below:
The SNL cast member is responding to comments Hart made during a stop at The Breakfast Club on Friday. Hart called out Katt for comments he made against Tiffany Haddish on an Atlanta radio show last week. He also mentioned Jones during his rant.
“So when you say Tiffany Haddish doesn’t deserve, or isn’t really a comedian, and these other women have worked hard, which they have,” he said. “Shoutouts to Melanie Comarcho, shoutouts to Luenell, shoutouts to Leslie Jones, who are all underneath the umbrella of Katt Williams. Katt Williams, have you ever used your platform to fucking bring the people that were under you up? You haven’t!”
Jones claims in her statement that neither of them helped out her career, and that it was actually Chris Rock who gave her a platform. “So I’m calling all cards I ain’t got to lie I made it without either one of them,” she wrote. “Chris rock was the one who put Me on and Neal Brennan a WHITE comic/writer. Not them!!”
Williams continues to make enemies in the weeks after winning an Emmy for his guest role as Alligator Man in Donald Glover’s Atlanta. He has yet to respond to Jones’ statement, while Hart replied with a palm-to-the-face emoji.
