La La Anthony was spotted going for breakfast in Manhattan with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and it has caused something of a storm on Twitter. La La is still with her husband Carmelo Anthony, but people jumped to conclusions as soon as the photo started to circulate. A source close to the couple told Page Six Melo and La La "are doing just fine" and "are back together," despite their past issues.
Abdul-Mateen, who recently starred in HBO's Watchmen and appeared as Black Manta in Aquaman, is reportedly a mutual friend. "They are just friends, they have been working out together and Yahya has been giving her tips on acting," a source close to La La explained. "People shouldn’t be quick to jump to conclusions — especially if she’s seen leaving a restaurant"
Carmelo Anthony and La La have had plenty of issues throughout their marriage, but they appeared to be doing better after pictures of them spending Christmas together with their son Kiyan Carmelo Anthony were posted on Instagram. Rumors even circulated in 2019 that the two were thinking of divorce after it was reported Melo cheated on her.
Still, Page Six's source insists the couple are doing well. Regardless, Twitter got messy fast.
