When it comes to writing and crafting your own unique storytelling vision, the sooner you start the better. Us star Evan Alex is putting this fact to excellent use with this week's word that he's currently penning his own horror script.

"I'm working on my own project," the 11-year-old actor toldThe Hollywood Reporter over the weekend. "I'm writing a script . . . I've talked to [Us writer/director Jordan Peele] about it. I've talked to him about the horror and about how I want this to be a little like Game of Thrones."

The comments were given during the UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital's 20th annual Party on the Pier event, which went down at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier and raised funds for the UCLA hospital and other locations serving "high-priority programs" for children.

Additional information on Alex's project was not detailed in the report, though it certainly sounds like he's off to a promising start. Alex's other acting credits include Kidding, Mani, Sesame Street, and Icky Free Kids.

In Us, which opened at No. 1 with $71 million back in March, Alex played Jason Wilson and Pluto. He was joined in the horror knockout's cast by Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke, and Elisabeth Moss. All told it earned $255.1 million worldwide.
